Restore individual files and folders to new laptop

Thread needs solution

I recently purchased a new laptop and used Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office to back up my old laptop. Instead of restoring the entire backup onto my new machine, I opted for a fresh installation of my software.

However, I've encountered an issue when attempting to restore specific files and folders from the backup onto my new laptop. I tried opening the backup file using Windows File Explorer and copying and pasting files, but this method is proving to be excessively slow.

Is there a more efficient way to transfer my files?

Best regards

Susanne

Hello!

That depends on many factors, such as the size of the file, the read/write capacities of your disks, and network connections if you use a NAS as storage, for example.

You can try to recover from the console directly following this KB: Link to Knowledge Base

Best regards.
