SSD Serial Numer Activation
I recently bought a new PNY CS2130 SSD 2TB, tried registering it via the serial number on the back of the box but in the Acronis software the "Activate" button is greyed out. Tried the OEM version from PNY website, tried True Image 2021 latest updated version too still nothing. Even tried to register my SSD directly via website and that did not work too. Any help would be nice.

For pny they send you to a dead link. My experience with the free version of this is telling me to stay as far away from these folks as you can. I could not fathom how pissed off I would be right now if I had paid for this. Total waste of time.

Dear MATTHEW KLEINMANN,
Thank you for reaching out. Can you please provide more information about the problem? We would like to help you, but we need to know what link you were provided.

Same problem, 5 minute PNY SSD install, waste an hour trying to activate the Acronis True Image to clone the drive. The Acronis chat support is just a bot and PNY is not available for chat. The link to the PNY page on the Acronis site is not found 404. The instruction from PNY and Acronis say you get a 30 day trial, good enough but even that doesn't work, you get stuck at the activation screen n Acronis software even if you create a login. After logging in it just bounces you back to the serial number screen, an endless loop. If you are thinking of buying PNY SSD or Acronis software you may just want to move on to the next vendor and cut any losses.

Hello Ted. I would suggest you to follow this KB regarding the activation: https://kb.acronis.com/content/64103.
Seems like some local A.virus or firewall is blocking the agent to access the registration server. Please check according to the KB.
If the issue persists, I would advise you to contact PNY, the link for support is updated.
Thanks in advance!

Having the same problem. It's not the anti-virus but it does the same thing I registers both on the site and on the acronis application. It bounces from login to activation serial number. I bought a brand new pny ssd. The drive is fine but every time I try to get into acronis to activate the cloning process it just goes from login to activation serial number. I have 1 laptop that I'm trying to use this on. First time user no other activations and it keeps doing the same thing. Been trying for an hour. My samsung drives clone so much easier. Even my wd drives with acronis are fine cause it uses the wd drive to activate. But with pny it's this serial number screen I keep getting stuck at

I suspect that the PNY is providing an outdated download. It is my understanding that all OEM versions were updated in late 2022. Unfortunately you are not alone with these issues, other OEM have been slow in making the latest OEM version available for their products.
The "current" OEM build for Kingston is 39615 and Western Digital 39676 (both dated December 2022). So any current OEM build would presumably have a build number 396XX.
There is what appears to be a link to outdated version on the WD www site, the latest version (as at 17 October 2023) can be downloaded from here.
