.TIB not found on drive

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm trying to install a .TIB file from a flash drive to a windows 7 computer.

I tried using the Acronis bootable media (different versions) in CD format and Flash drive. It boots True Image up fine, but when selecting the source for the .TIB, the file is not shown. I just see the drive and it's listed as empty.

I tried different drives (Sandisk, Samsung SSd, Transcend, etc...).

The .TIB just won't show up.

Any hints? Thank you!

What product, version and build are you using. Is it True Image, Cyber Protect Home Office, or some other product.

What sort of recovery environment are you using, Linux (created from your computer OR downloaded from your Acronis Account), Windows PE or Windows RE. What mode does the computer boot? Is it UEFI or BIOS/Legacy - if the former then you should select the UEFI version of the DVD in the boot device listing. UEFI boot options have UEFI (or similar) in the boot device name.  Problems have been reported because (some?) verions of the Linux recovery media only report Legacy/BIOS boot.

To find out if your PC is using Legacy/BIOS or UEFI due a search for UEFI or BIOS using your preferred search engine.

Edit: Are all the files for the backup chain present on the USB stick; the full backup and subsequent incremental/differential backups.

One further question:  what file system is being used on the flash drive where the .tib file is stored?
