True Image 2021 problems when recovering disk

Thread needs solution

I use ATI 2021 and I'm trying to recover a disk image from two week back. I have created a recovery rescue media on a USB. I pick out the image and and date and time on the calendar, On the screen with partition layouts I choose everything. That's what I've been doing in the past.

NTFS(WIN)             Pri     465GB
Track 0
EFI System Partition  Pri
Recovery Partition    Pri

ATI starts working and after a while it stops and creates a system report with a lot of files. In one of them wmi-PnPEntities-all.txt there's a lot of error like these:

ACPI\AMDIF030\0                                                                                                                                          Error

Hello!

Best regards.

Hi

I tried to follow the instructins how to create WinPE rescue media and I stumbled at once.

"To download the installation file: in Management Console, click the Account button in the top right > Downloads..."

I opened the MMC and I don't see an Account button so where can it be. Am I in the right MMC?

Hello!

This is the KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/65508

The bootable media can also be downloaded from your account. You need to have your product registered at the Acronis website to be able to download Acronis Bootable Media.

Please refer to the following KB: https://kb.acronis.com/getmedia

Best regards!

I managed to create a WinPE bootable media on a USB stick and booted but it came out the same way as before with a system report. The errors in it indicate there's something wrong with some PCI devices and SMBUS. I know I have all the latest drivers installed.

Remember that the recovery media you can download from your account is Linux and may not have all the drivers you need; it will not contain any proprietary drivers.

Ian

I gave up the USB bootable media and tried a rescue media DVD which I have created some time ago. I got the message "Warning. After operation completion operating system may not boot from the destination disk in BIOS" I found out that the DVD needed to boot in UEFI (the same as the main system). This is what the Boot section in my BIOS looks like:

Compatibility Support Module Configuration
Launch CSM                                 Enabled
Boot Device Control                    UEFI and Legacy OPROM
Boot from Network Devices              Legacy only
Boot from Storage Devices              Legacy only
Boot from PCI-E/PCI Expansion Devices  Legacy only

I suppose I have to change "Boot from Storage Devices" to UEFI.
Is this correct?

I now tried to change the boot for storage devices under CSM in BIOS. I chose the only other option from "Legacy only" to "UEFI first". The result was the same as before. (Warning after operation completion operating system may not boot ... etc)

Compatibility Support Module Configuration
Launch CSM                                 Enabled
Boot Device Control                    UEFI and Legacy OPROM
Boot from Network Devices              Legacy only
Boot from Storage Devices              Legacy only
Boot from PCI-E/PCI Expansion Devices  Legacy onlye Configuration

OK, the problem seems to be solved. I found another driver updater program (Outbyte Driver Updater) and it found a number of outdated drivers which have been undetected by other updaters. I created a new USB recover media and booted and I got all the way through without any messages.

Hello!

Thank you for updating the thread.

Yes, as mentioned above that's a pre-requisite to perform the recovery.

I am glad you managed to update them and fix the issue.
