Trying to make a backup image

Thread needs solution

The first backup I made was perfect.  It is a new laptop HP 17 inch.  Model 17cn0273st.  It has a Samsung SSD 512 GB and Intel i3 Processor.  After the first backup I was unable to do a backup without receiving the follow prompt while in Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office 40173.

Some partitions contain errors and can be imaged only sector-by -sector. It is recommended that you exit Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office and check the partitions with your system’s disk-checking tools.

Reinstalled Windows 11 Home again and deleted all of the partitions before doing that. I went back to Acronis and same thing. Anybody out there experiencing the same issue? Help!

Daniel, I can only suggest reviewing the detailed logs that Acronis produces along with creating a System Report zip file that  captures those logs.  Most system report zip files are too large to be shared directly in these forums due to the 3MB file size limitation, so you would need to provide a link to the file via a cloud share using such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your comment.

Without the exact error code, it is difficult to determine the root cause of the backup issues you are experiencing. However, regarding the errors with the partitions, you can try running CHKDSK in command line: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chkdsk?tabs=event-viewer

This will help you determine if there are any errors and if so, they must be fixed to prevent further error messages.

Please feel free to share the exact error code and system report of your machine with us at: https://kb.acronis.com/content/69418. Unfortunately, the file attachment feature is not available on our forum, so please use a third-party sharing app and send us a link here.

Additionally, you may contact our support line directly with all the necessary information at: https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153

Thank you in advance
