Acronis TI/CPH21 consumes a lot of time to detect the possible destination volume at clone

Thread needs solution

I use Acronis cyber protect Home office (TrueImage) 21 on a computer with 8 hard drives. OS is Windows 10 Pro installed on a 1TB Samsung SSD.
I now want to "hot" clone the OS hard drive. The selection of the source drives is already provided in a few seconds.
The selection dialog for the target drives is displayed, but is only filled with the possible drives after about 15 minutes. Why is this taking so long?
The only difference between the list of sources and destinations is that the source already selected can no longer be selected in the list of destinations.
I tried the trial version of OO image backup and I don't see this behavior.
Is there a plausible reason for this behavior and can this be improved?

I would be very grateful for a solution.

Jupp, I can only suggest that having 8 drives in the computer is causing Acronis to check each of these for suitability in being a destination for the clone operation.

I would strongly recommend ensuring that you make a full Disk backup of your OS Source drive before doing any clone operation.  Using Backup is a more flexible option than cloning and can be scheduled to run automatically, including making further backups as changes occur.

Yes, the larger the number of drives, the longer this process takes. Your should definitely do a backup before embarking on a clone. I prefer to backup and restore rather than cloning.
