Acronis True Image conflict with Photoshop Elements 2021

Thread needs solution

Hi, I am running Acronis True Image 2021 alongside Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021. All was well until recently when I started to encounter printing problems on the PSE Editor. When I try to print a project there is a delay of up to 1 minute before the print options screen appears. After trying to resolve the issue by reinstalling PSE I decided to reinstall Windows 10. After this I installed PSE and the problem was resolved. I started installing my other software and all was well until I installed Acronis True Image 2021. The problem immediately returned. I have tried turning off Active Protection and this hasn't solved the problem. I would be grateful for any help/suggestions. Thank you.

Hello Ian,

thank you for your posting! I should help adding the Adobe Photoshop to the list of exclusions as discussed in https://forum.acronis.com/it/forum/acronis-true-image-2018-forum/possib…

I'd also recommend trialing Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office as the issue shall not reproduce in the latest builds.

Hi,

Thank you for your response to my posting yesterday. As suggested, I tried adding Adobe Photoshop to the list of exclusions as discussed in previous posts. Unfortunately the problem was not solved by doing this. I also installed a trial version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office and the problem was resolved. I could of course just upgrade to Cyber Protect but how do I know the problem will not return. I upgraded True Image just over a year ago and the problem was not there then so something must have changed. Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office looks a very comprehensive package but it is much more than I really require. My only need is a backup solution for my working SSD drive. All other important personal files are backed up to the cloud. I really don't want to constantly upgrade at further cost to alleviate conflicts that may occur.
