Allow Wake Up Timers options not avaliable

Thread solved

Hi,

I whant to set my backup task to wake up the computer from sleep or hibernate. That option is only enabled in Acronis if you have enabled Wake up timers in the Windows settings and that's my problem since those settings is missing.

Is there anyone out there that have a solution on how to make these options visible in Windows 10 Pro latest edition? I beleave it has to be done in the registry but I can't find any solution that is correct.

Dag, the option for setting / enabling wake timers is found in the Windows Power Options and you shouldn't need to edit the registry for the same.

Steve,

my problem is that those settings are not present in the power options dialog. Mine looks like this:

Sorry for the Swedish language, "Strömsparläge" is equiliant to "Sleep" in your dialog. I only have the "Sleep After" and "Hibernate after" not the "Allow Wake timers".

I'm looking for a way to get this settings as well.

Running on Windows 10 Professional latest update.

Eureka, finally I found the cause to my problem with wake up timers which is a Lenovo BIOS settings problem.

The BIOS SetUp/Power/Sleep State has to be set to "Linux" not "Windows 10" as it is as default. With the setting Linux I also get all the options in the Power Setting dialog and can activate Wake timers.

Dag, glad that you found the way of enabling the sleep timers to solve this issue!  Thanks for sharing because knowing that you have to change the Lenovo BIOS settings to Linux for a Windows system is not at all intuitive!
