Are there logfiles created for backups? Where?

Thread solved

I had a backup fail and I want to know what happened so  I can fix it. Surely there are logfiles documenting actions. Where are they located? I looked in all the obvious places.

Thanks...Glenn

Glenn, yes there are log files. Please download the MVP Assistant (check my signature below for link) and run the Log Viewer from there. Start with the Demon logs. Also check the Backup Worker logs.Hopefully that will give you a clue.

Thank you for posting that. I never would have found it.

I must say, I'm stunned that the product needs a third party app to read log files. If anything is fundamental to system maintenance such as backups it's log files. This is, in my opinion, a catastrophic failure of this product. I could never recommend Acronis Backup to anyone after this discovery. This is simply not a complete product. If this came out a month ago, OK. but it;s been around for years. I am now wondering if this product is strategic to this company and if any development of it is on going. I'm grateful to those working to improve it on their own but I expected more from the people I paid for my subscription. My renewal is doubtful at this point. My disappointment should be obvious.
