Can I copy .tibx file from one external drive to another

Thread needs solution

My Toshiba Canvio4TB  USB 3.2 is giving me a BSOD, I am retuning it today for a new one, can I just copy the .TIBX image from  one Toshiba drive to another? I can get one with a  USB C connection, is that faster than a USB  A connection ?

You can move a backup from within Acronis, but the process involves copying the files to the new location, then deleting the files from the old location. Last time I did this it resulted in the date stamp for each file being changed to the current date, which is a little confusing.

The approach I take is to remove the backup from Acronis (select Delete, then choose remove NOT delete). Once you have done this copy the files to the new location - there will probably the a pop-up asking for permission for explorer (or your preferred file manage) to move the files. When the replacement drive arrives, copy the file to that drive. The open Acronis and add the backup (in my experience all backup settings are retained). Right click where I have indicated on the image below to add an existing backup.
