Change backup script to point to a new NAS

Thread needs solution

I have purchased a new NAS, moved all Trueimage 2021 backups to the old to the new NAS and now I have to recreate all backups jobs from scratch?

I've changed the UNC paths in the registry, edited the .tis files to the new paths, and it's still not enough.

This is utterly insane. Every other backup software in the world allows you to change backup path destinations.

Thomas, unfortunately this is a known issue that has been around for multiple recent versions of ATI and now ACPHO where just editing the script files and registry is not sufficient.  Acronis stores path information in its internal database and metadata too.

If you have effectively recreated the NAS folder / backup paths on the new NAS in line with how these were for the old one, then you might be able to use the Windows Hosts file to map the old IP address or NAS name to the new IP address and get around the issue in that way.

Otherwise, please submit Feedback directly to Acronis (use the tool provided in the GUI Help section) and ask for your vote to be added to the Acronis internal feature request: TI-170272 Allow changing the plan settings when the target location is not available.
