Download of Protection Fails Build 39900

Thread needs solution

This issue has been persistent since 1/1/22 as that is the last protection update I have received, as noted in Screenshot 2022-05-17 091709. png. As indicated in Screenshot 2022-05-17 091942.png, I deselect Download Protection updates automatically. I then manually download the protections and receive "Get protection updates automatically." 

Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office 

Build: 39900

  • I have only Microsoft Defender running. 
  • No VPN
  • It does show there is an update available
  • Updates for software works w/out issue.

Scott, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you have Microsoft Defender active / running then it implies that you have also turned off Acronis Cyber Protection as the two are intended to be mutually exclusive!

If you turn on Cyber Protection it should automatically disable Defender and register itself as the antivirus security provider.
