Esata drive not recognized
Just installed Acronis 2021 build 39216. In selecting my destination drive, it doesn't see that I have an ESATA drive connected.
What are my options?
Thanks for the help.

Ian... Thanks for the reply and help. I get this when selecting the ESATA drive E. Is this correct?

Definitely something is amiss. I suspect the problem that doing an Entire PC backup (that is the source is the entire PC), which includes the eSATA drive - there is now way for Acronis (or, indeed Windows) if a SATA drive is attached to an internal SATA port or an eSATA port. The icon next to the task name indicates that this is the case. You need to change to a Disks and Partitions backup.
Hope this helps

Danny, the message I see in your image makes perfect sense... "I is not recommended to back up an image to itself."
You are trying to do an Entire PC backup, which includes E:, to the E: drive.
As Ian said, change this to a Disks and Partitions backup. Most of the MVPs recommend doing separate backup tasks for each disk rather than Entire PC.

Ian... Thanks for the reply and help. That made me understand better, just back up the C: drive instead of the whole system.
One last question. When I backup the drive, will it backup my Win10 system files? It shows system files in the description, but wondering since I didn't boot from a disk ot usb drive to bypass Windows loading.
Thanks again

Danny, when you do a disks and partitions backup of your system drive, the default is to backup everything on that disk, although ATI does not show the hidden partitions (UEFI, recovery) they will be included. If they are shown, make sure they are selected (this may happen when there is also a data partition on the drive - I cannot remember, as I always have data on non-OS HDD/SSD.
