Has My Version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office Been Corrupted

Thread needs solution

Hello.

I'm using Windows 10, 64-bit Home on a desktop PC.  This is my first post on this forum.

Yesterday, I downloaded what I thought were drivers from Western Digital for my External Hard Drive. I did NOT know that I also installed Acronis True Image for Western Digital.  Now, my version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office is "different": it only has one backup when previous to yesterday I had 4 different Backups.  Furthermore, the "Protection" module seems to have been effected.  Now, it continually states, "Downloading protection updates..." but, in fact, nothing is happening.  Under Active Protection, both Ranswomware attacks and Illicit crypomining are dimmed out.  I have removed the software I installed yesterday but the problem still remains.

Any comments as to what I can do about this will be appreciated. (I’ve been thinking of removing and then re-installing the software, or perhaps trying to use System Restore)

Thank you very much.

I would suggest trying a Repair Install of ACPHO as the first action to see if this will resolve the issues you are seeing.

See KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - for details.
