How to set a encryption password? After building the "surveilance kit medium"?

Thread needs solution

Hello, im trying Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office,

i build the surveilance kit medium. Now there is an 2GB EFI Partion and the rest ist NTFS free space. I could not select any source backup files (it says, 600 GB will be backed up) and the other problem is, it says it is encrypted, but i could not choose any password. What is goin wrong, please tell me.

U need to know, im using vera crypt system encryption and all my additional storage devices are vera crypt encrypted partions auto mounted on windows start.

Im confused about, what files or devices (sector by sector) now get backed up and why it says its encrypted but i could not set any password. Thank u.

I am a unsure what you are doing. I suspect the problem is the use of Vera Crypt - see for 1649: Compatibility of Acronis Backup Software with Encryption Software which may offer some assistance.

My understanding is, if you are using the survival kit (i assume there is a typographical error when you mention that "surveilance kit"), you have to decrypt the drives before using ACPHO; I know that if the disk is encrypted with Bitlocker this require going to the command line and typing the appropriate command. I have a dim recollection that the same is needed for Vera Crypt. If you are creating the backup within Windows you will need to unlock the Vera Crypt before configuring the backup.

There are other regular contributors to the Forum who will (I think) be able to guide you through the process.
