I downloaded the trial but couldn't boot from the boot disk

Thread needs solution

Okay so I downloaded the trial of the new version and I created the Rescue Disk. Then I tried to boot from it but it did not work. All that happened was I saw the familiar blue window on the screen and it didn't go any further than that.

Maybe I did something wrong when creating the disk I don't know.

If someone could outline what I need to include or what I need to select to make the .iso image please post.

I'm running Windows 10 Professional and have an Asus P8P67 motherboard.

How did you create the rescue media disk?

If you downloaded the rescue media ISO DVD image from the Acronis website then this will be a Linux OS based boot disc and as such can be problematic for users depending on their BIOS and drive controller / disk drive type.

The recommended rescue media to create is the 'Simple' version which uses Windows PE from your Windows Recovery Environment and will try to include device drivers for your system hardware to provide better compatibility.

I didn't download an ISO from their site. I think I clicked on Create Rescue Media and followed that. I think I will have to try it again maybe a few times.

I tried it again and it appears this time it worked. But I noticed it took longer to get to the Backup and Recovery screen than the 2016 version, which is what I have.

Plus I noticed some command windows that came up. I was wondering about those too.

But I could not make an image because a message came up and said this is a trial version and the selected operations cannot be performed.
