Installation failed

Thread needs solution

I deinstalled Acronis True Image 2014 usind the cleanup_tool.exe

Then I tried to install AcronisCyberProtectHomeOffice.exe

The installation fails:
"The value tib_mounter.dll couldn't be written under the key \Software\Acronis\GlobalComponents"

What is wrong, what can I do?

Friedrich, welcome to these public User Forums.

Are you installing ACPHO from an Administrator account as required?

See KB 69387: Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office: how to install

Note: I would recommend using the Acronis Cleanup tool to ensure that all traces of ATI 2014 have been removed, followed by a restart of Windows.  Link in my signature to the tool.

If you still have issues, then see KB 46710: Acronis True Image: Installation Fails in Windows - for common issues.
