Is it possible to configure replication to replicate only most recent version

Thread needs solution

I have an existing daily incremental backup of Entire PC to local disk, which is configured for 6 incremental backups and retention of 4 versions.  The size of each version chain (i.e., full plus 6 increments) is approximately 450GB.

I would like to enable (cloud) replication, but due to limited cloud storage of 500GB, I would need to configure the replication to retain only one version, and then have the replication replicate only the most recent version chain.

This does not seem possible with the Windows application.  Is it possible using the web interface, and through any other means?

Alternatively, I do realize that I could create a new backup plan to work around this, but ideally I would like to use the existing backup plan if possible.

Rodolfo, all I can strongly recommend is to forget about using replication to the Acronis Cloud and instead simply set up a new backup task direct to the cloud which is infinitely better than using replication as it currently exists!!

Replication follows your existing local backup scheme, so is going to want to upload another new Full backup image to the cloud after your 6 incrementals, which will exhaust your cloud storage allocation!

Doing a direct cloud backup only ever uploads a full backup image once when the task is first run and then all subsequent backups use a delta / hybrid incremental approach with controls that allow you to use versioning for changed files etc, plus to set an age of files before they get consolidated with the original full backup data.

Cloud backups are far more efficient than using replication and use less resources, plus will give you an additional recovery option should it be needed, i.e. by scheduling the cloud backup to run on different days to your local tasks.

I agree with @Steve Smith on this. Cloud replication uses a lot of cloud storage and can hog you bandwdith.

Thanks, Steve.  That is good to know..

Also, do you know if there exists any detailed documentation on how the "consolidation" works, when the versions (i.e., incrementals) being deleted "get consolidated with the original full backup data", due to either the version or age limit settings?

Rodolpho,
