NAS File not found during backup

Thread needs solution

Hi, I'm new here and have a backup issue.  I am running Acronis True Image 2021 which I am told is out of support.

I create a backup of files I store on my NAS.  They can be accessed throough Acronis and I can even create new folders.

When I run a backup the log reports "File or folder not found".  When I look at my NAS log there is a login failure message.

I have updated my Credentials Manager on Windows 11 to reflect the administrator uid/password.

When Acronis cannot login used to get a prompt.  Is there any way I can reset the credentials in Acronis.

Regards,

Alex Kara

Alex, please see KB 58004: Acronis True Image 2016: Troubleshooting Issues Related to NAS Credentials which is still relevant for later versions.

Thank you Steve, I truely appreciate you taking the effort to help me with this issue.

I was advised that my 2021 version was "obsolete" and out of support.  While I have no issue with licensing per se, I am a perpetual license believer and avoid subscriptions, which seems to be the only option available.

I won't get a chance to attempt the fix till the weekend (or early next week), however, after a quick browse of the URL provided, it seems to describe my exact situation.

It a shame there is no such option built into Acronis.

Again, I thank you in advance.

Kind regards and keep safe,

Alex

Thanks again Steve,  I managed to make the regedit change and the backup was working in about five minutes...

Sure much quicker than the Teamviewer session I had for about 4 hours yesterday with QNAP support without any success.
