Rescue Media Builder

Thread needs solution

Doesn't work.

Installed on my laptop, the backups work fine.  No problems there.

Go to Tools, Rescue Media Builder and try to create a flash drive.  It appears to create the flash drive and there are files on the drive, but when I go to boot from the flash drive, nothing.  Every once in a while, I'll get a wide white line on the screen and that's it.  I've waited 15-30 minutes and nothing.

I've tried simple, advanced and everything in between, yet, no go.

Very frustrated.

Scott, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of Acronis are you using here?  Is it ACPHO as per this forum, or is it one of the older ATI versions?

What size of flash drive are you using for the rescue media?

Does the rescue media builder say that it has completed successfully when doing the build of media?

What BIOS mode does your laptop use for booting into Windows and are you using the same BIOS mode when booting from the rescue media?

Note: in Windows, run the msinfo32 command to find the BIOS mode information in the right panel of the report produced.  This will normally be UEFI for most modern laptops, else can show as either Legacy or give the make / model of the Windows boot disk drive.

You can also find your Boot Mode using the MVP Assistant utility found HERE

Run the utility as administrator, click on System Configuration in the left menu then, scroll the top section of the window to see all your system information at a glance.
