Restore from Asustor NAS
Acronis full disk backups have been saved to the Asustor Lockerstor 2 6602T NAS on my home network through a QNAP QSW-M2108-2C switch.
It was not possible to do a full disk restore to my M.2 NVME boot drive, because once the computer rebooted the NAS couldn't be located. When booting to an Acronis recovery USB, I could not select the NAS as a source.
What needs to be done to be able to restore from a NAS?
Thank you.

Nj24,
It is likely that network adapter drivers are not available in your recovery media so that means your network adapter is not available to access your NAS.
If you use the Acronis Bootable Media Builder tool to create new boot media and in that tool select the Simple version of a Windows based media this will use the WinRE environment on your system disk which in turn should contain the appropriate driver.
If this is not possible then we would need to attempt to get the driver files by other means.

I was able to create Acronis bootable media using the Advanced Recovery Environment option. It was somewhat difficult to locate the Marvell 5Gb drivers, as these are not available from Asus website. The Asus forum had a post referencing a DriverStoreExplorer program (unzip and right click and run rapr.exe as Adminstrator), and I was able to locate the folder which contained the Marvell AQC111C 5Gb driver.
Copied the folder containing the driver files to my downloads folder and also unzipped the Intel Ethernet and WiFi drivers from Asus website. The instructions don't state this, but when creating the Acronis Bootable Media at the add Drivers step, you simply select the Folder containing the driver files and Acronis will automatically select the files that are required.
Used the bootable media to access the backup on the NAS and completed a Recovery of a folder from the Disk & Partitions Backup.

NJ24,
Glad to hear that you were able to locate the necessary drivers for your NAS and perform recovery.

It's always advisable that when creating a rescue drive, it should be tested to be sure it will access all backup locations (e.g. NAS).
