Restored Windows 10 won't boot in VMware Workstation

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've always had success in booting every restored OS (with Universal Restore) on VMware Workstation except with Windows 10.

I'm not sure what is the issue, I tried restoring with and without checking the (Track 0) partition. Universal Restore is not finding the OS.

I honestly don't know much about how the boot works, but i did try doing the "bootrec /fixboot" command and i keep getting "Access is Denied".

I tried using "GParted" to change the flag of the boot partition to "boot", but it is not showing at all, even though it does show in the "Diskpart" command.

I'm using:

Acronis True Image 2021
Acronis Universal Restore 11.7
VMware Workstation 12 Pro

Welcome to these public User Forums.

I have done this type of restore to my own VMware Workstation Player 16 as shown on my YouTube channel that you are welcome to look at.
