The system cannot find the file specified
So my acronis mobile backup is unbrowsable (and also unmountable) with the above error message, a few minutes after claiming to have successfully backed it up, with the file exactly where the backup list says it is.
Inability to find its backup files when they are in the location that the backup list says they are has been a persistent problem with ATIH for a long time, and I wonder if it wasn't a substantial error to veer into general malware control (where the reviews of the product appear to be OK but not great) rather than clean up a variety of annoying although not perhaps completely terrible problems with the basic backup functionality.
Of course the problem of not being able to browse or mount a backup is that you can't really tell if it is intact and functional, so I guess I will have to delete and sart again.

Thanks; I looked at the dashboard, but it says nothing about local backpsl (I don't back up multi-decagig things such as phone contents to the cloud, and in any event, menu items present in the GUI ought to either work or be removed. Support ticket time.

The online dashboard is only for PC backups not for mobile backups.
See forum topic: Phone backup (recovery) where I documented the recovery process with screen shots a while back (scroll through the topic).

And just now, as I was retesting during writing for a support ticket etc, the browse functionality suddenly worked (revealing that there is there is not enough in the phone backup for my purposes).

Steve, the thread goes back to 2019 so it may not fully reflect the current situation. It also is concerned with Android devices, and iOS devices may be different.
I have 2 iPads and an iPhone, all backed up to the Acronis Cloud. If I got to the Online Dashboard backups for all iOS devices are listed (see below).
If you click on RECOVER a list of the types of files backed-up appears (see below):
On the left side is a listing of backup dates. If you click on Videos for example, you then get the individual files are listed (see below) - if you wonder what the videos are about, we were on a river cruise for Amsterdam to Budapest and the river decided to flood - we were stranded for several days!:
It is not clear from the screenshot, but you can select files, and right click and this allows you to recover to the PC, which was not something I was expecting. I did not try to download a Video, but did download a photo and downloaded multiple contacts: this was in a zip file, with individual vcf file for each contact.
Hope other users will find this useful.
Ian
