Wie Acronis PE ins eigene PE einbinden?

Thread solved

\Program Files\\Acronis\TrueImageHome\*.*   inkl. Unterverzeichnisse (aus der boot.wim vom Acronis PE Medium)

\Windows\System32\snapapi.dll

\Windows\System32\snapapint.dll

\Windows\System32\snapapint64.dll

\Windows\System32\volume_tracker_driver_api.dll

\Windows\System32\drivers\snapman.sys

\Windows\System32\drivers\volume_tracker.sys

Auch habe ich folgende Registryeinträge integriert:

HKCU_Software_Acronis

HKLM_SOFTWARE_Acronis

HKU_.DEFAULT_Software_Acronis

HKU_S-1-5-18_Software_Acronis

Oliver, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but the only person in the forums who may be able to help you is Mustang who created the MVP Custom PE tool and has created other plug-ins for earlier versions of ATI.

I can suggest an easy way to do that without understanding all the WinPE registry changes you would need to make. You can use the Acronis Media Builder tool. You would need to select the Advanced method and select the option to build from an installed Windows ADK. You would need to have the ADK and WinPE add-on installed. Then you would need to replace the winpe.wim file in the ADK found at C:\Program Files\(x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment Kit\amd64\en-us with the boot.wim file from your PE found on a USB drive in the sources folder. Then rename it to winpe.wim. This will have the Media Builder use you WinPE and add the program to it.

Hello Mustang.

I've tried it the way you told me, but the bootable media starts up and i have the same as I would have when creating it by the AcronisTrueImage_PE_BUILDER. OK, a few seconds my own PE is starting up, but then it turns to the default AcronisTrueImage_PE_BUILDER isos behavior.

Too bad. I'm using Windows 11 and the PE Media creation tool doesn't work. either.

If I try to create it, the ADK is not found.
And when I select search for winPE files, I can make a step forward, but the next step tells me about an error with opening the boot.wim file.

Is it so dificult to help me with detailed instrucions on wich files and registy entries I have to create/copy?

I read it just now and tried, but there is no HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Acronis\CyberProtectHomeOffice in my registry.

So this solution doesn't work for me.

But thank you Steve for trying to help.

It should work if you use my instruction with one addition. The Acronis Media Builder has overwritten the startnet.cmd file in the WinPE Windows\System32 folder. You need to look in the original PE you want to use and copy out startnet.cmd and winpeshl.ini from the Windows\System32 folder. Then build using my instruction and replace startnet.cmd and winpeshl.ini with the files from the original media. There may not be a winpeshl.ini file in the original media if they started their app with startnet.cmd.

Hi again Mustang.

I think this is more dificult then you think Mustang.

The Emergency-Windows doesen't create a Windows folder on the USB-Stick. I have to start it before it will create the Windows folder on startup.

Perhaps you would like to take a look on it.

I don't know how dificult it is for you with the german language but it is really a nice thing! Take a look on it.

You have to create a folder for it wich should be configured as an exception for your anti-virus programm.

You will also have a source-Windows wich can be downloaded on the project website.

Its really worth to take a look. Its an excelent tool. Hope you will have a look.

Excuse my english Mustang. I hope you can understand me.

The Link is in the attached textfile.

Mustang, I've made it!!!!

The Windows folder was in \sources\boot.wim

I followed your described steps and it worked after I ereased the additional lines wich comes from the Acronis PE Builder in the winpeshl.ini file and replaced the Wallpaper.jpg with the one my PE uses.

I'm so happy about that.

Many thanks Mustang!!!

Mustang, a short addition.

Yes it works now, but only when building a Win 10 PE.

Not with Win 11.

Too bad but better then no PE support.

I just want you to inform you of that.

Perhaps you could fix this in future releases of Acronis PE Builder.

Thanks.

Hi Oliver,

Glad to hear you got it working. It isn't more difficult than I thought. Sorry, I assumed you had more knowledge about the workings of WinPE.

I have my own custom WinPE called MustangPE where I've added about 50 programs including all the Acronis programs. There is a link to it in my signature. I'll try the procedure we used here to add True Image to MustangPE using the Acronis Media Builder in Windows 11 using a Windows 11 ADK. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi Oliver,

I was able to use the Acronis Media Builder to add ACPHO build 39703 to my MustangPE in Windows 11 using the Windows 11 ADK. It worked perfectly. All I had to modify after the build was to remove one line from startnet.cmd.

Reading what you wrote, it looks to me that you may have used the MVP Tool to do the build rather that the Acronis Media Builder. Is that the case?

Oh.There are different Programs? Yes, I think you're right. The Folder name is "MVP_ATIPEBuilder_v186".

Is the Acronis Media Builder a better solution? I have to search for it!

About Win 11 PE, unfortunately the startnet.cmd from my Emergency-Windows-PE is empty so I can't remove anything. And the winpeshl.ini contains only "[LaunchApps]" and in a second row "wpeinit". So I can't make any changes.

My Win 11 PE hangs at the end booting process when I tried it the way Win 10 PE works fine.

But now I have to look for the Mustang PE.

Thanks for your help and time Mustang.

The Acronis Media Builder is found in the Acronis main GUI. You click on Tools on the left hand side and select Rescue Media Builder. Then select the Advanced method. Then select WinPE media. Then select the middle option to use a Windows ADK. That should make the method I gave in my first post work without needing to modify anything. Acronis does add a line to startnet.cmd, but startnet.cmd will be ignored because your original boot.wim file contains winpeshl.ini. Acronis will not make any changes to winpeshl.ini and will not change the wallpaper.

You should probably stay with the media you are using rather than using MustangPE. I've only published plugins to add the Acronis programs.

The Acronis Media Builder is found in the Acronis main GUI. You click on Tools on the left hand side and select Rescue Media Builder.

I can't use this because it does not find the ADK. Always waiting for the ADK.

The ADK is installed but I'm using win 11 and the win 11 ADK.

It seems that Acronis doesen't work with that.
I have a license for 3 Computers. The other two are installed in the Firm of my brother in law using Win 10 and there the Acronis Rescue Media Builder works fine. I've bought Acronis mostly to facilitate my Sister and my Brother-in-Law in their Firm.

Hey Mustang.

I wonder in wich Country you are located because you wrote at times I'm also awake. So it is not the USA?

Anyway I've made a screenshot of my Emergency PE. Most of the Programs are linked on the Desktop, so you can take a short look at it. I will attach it.

Too bad. I would like to use the Acronis Rescue Media Builder but I descriebed it befor, the ADK is not found.

And when I go back and select "Search for WinPE files" and point it to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment\amd64

the PE files are found and I can integrate drivers, select ISO or WIM file, give the file a Destination and kann click to proceed. But then comes an errormage saying error accessing the wim file. I atached that message in a jpg file.

Hi Oliver,

I'm in the Eastern US.

I think all of your problems with using Windows 11 and the Windows 11 ADK would be solved by setting your system OS language to English.

Hey Mustang.

There is a trojan in your PE Builder Mustang PE!

Windows Defender.

Oliver, where are you downloading the MVP tool from?

I have just download version 1.90 (zip) from MVP Custom PE builder tool (Mustang's own web site) and the only warning that I was given is that the site itself wasn't secure.

I then did a full scan of the zip file with Windows Defender and it came up clean!

I have uploaded the zip file to the Virus Total scan web page where it was scanned by 46 different virus engines and again gave a clean result.

See result page here

Oliver,

There is NO trojan in MustangPE! You are seeing a false positive because it was compiled using a language called AutoIt3. You need to whitelist it.
