Acronis Disk Director 10.0 mouse issues

Thread needs solution

Dear Acronis

I've recently purchased Disk Director 10.0 and installed it on a computer meant for use in a public library. It is to be set up for the library to use one partition and our company using the second partition for special courses and offers.

However I'm experiencing some issues in regards to my devices, when I'm on the Acronis OS Selector screen

I've tried working with three different mice.
- An optical USB wireless, which went haywire across the screen as if the sensitivity was completely messed up.
- An optical USB wired, which could only move in vertical directions.
- An old PS/2 ball, which worked "fine", but isn't a good solution given the purpose the computer is meant for in the end.

I've attempted to find a solution to this on the forum and I stumbled upon the solution involving disabling USB legacy. This only made it impossible to interact with the OS Selector, and I had to do a hard reboot to do anything.

For now I've decided to disable the mouse and work with the keyboard as mouse option, but I'd like a proper solution to this that doesn't involve a converter+PS/2 mouse.

Regards

Hello Peter,

Let me assist you with this situation.

Generally, OS Selector is based on DOS system and all issues with hardware \ peripheral devices are related to the specifics of this system, or to BIOS.

Since we have fixed some common issues with OS Selector in the latest (2239) build of the product, please make sure you use the latest build, which is available here. To get access to updates you should first register Acronis software.

Also, I would recommend you to update the BIOS to the latest version (you could download the firmware from motherboard vendor's website). Note: BIOS update is not a common solution, please do not update it if you're not sure about the procedure!

Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Best regards,
