It's normal for there to be a small amount of unallocated space on a drive. Whether it's there or not depends on a number of things, including alignment, what created the partition, and so on. Also, whether it's displayed or not depends on the partitioning program. Some will display small areas (like DD does) and some won't (like Disk Management).

I would recommend leaving it as it is -- 3MB of additional space isn't worth the trouble.

actually it looks like he(she) has almost 3 gigs unallocated ; i have 1 gig and i'm debating whether to just leave it as is ; but i think DD11 would resize my C and reclaim the space ; on an unrelated , what language is that ? just curious .

It looks like it, but it's not. The F: partition is the same size as the drive. If it were GB's it would have to be at least 3GB smaller. Also, a comma is being used for the decimal instead of a period (different language version). Disk Management would show 3GB of unallocated space.

Such for the first time. Why then on disk WD 320gb there is no such?

Probably due to the alignment used and/or the program used. It's normal for a small amount of unallocated space to remain, just as it's normal for there not to be any.
