Acronis Disk Director 11 Workstation installer fails immediately on 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate

I click the installer and it fails immediately with a dialog titled, "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library". The message says the following:

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Users\jchamber\Desktop\ADD11A_12077_en-US.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

My operating system is 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. I am logged the system administrator. UAC is disabled.

Acronis Backup & Recovery 11 Advanced Workstation installed just fine and I was able to create a backup of my hard disk. I was surprised that the Disk Director installation failed.

I paid $80 for this program and so I am very unhappy that I can't even get the installer started. I am a Senior Software Engineer for IBM so I am not a novice at installing software.

There is no phone number or email support without a contract even though I just bought this product yesterday and the problem is with the installer I should be entitled to some type of support.

After that, you can follow a few quick steps and get in touch with our support representatives. Please refer to this article for more information. Back to the issue, it is not clear yet without additional information, but it is possible that the error: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." is caused by some incompatibilities between Acronis product components. You mentioned that you have ABR10 Advanced Workstation installed. I would suggest to disable Acronis Managed Machine service and install ADD11 Workstation one more time.
