ADDING AN ADDITIONAL PARTION TO ALREADY PARTITIONED SYS HD

Thread needs solution

I WISH TO CREATE AN ADDITIONAL PARTITION OF "25GB SIZE " ON "DISK 0".(WINXP (C:)
AT PRESENT THERE IS 95.93 GB FREE ON THIS PARTITION.
MY PURPOSE IS TO INSTALL "OS WIN7" IN THIS NEW PARTITION THERBY CREATING A DUALBOOT SYSTEM

Are you trying to use DD or Disk Management? If DD, what build are you using?

Basically, you would resize the C: partition smaller (from the right) and then create a new Primary partition in the unallocated space.

What boot manager are you planning on using? The Windows boot manager or OSS?

Note: It's strongly recommended to create an Entire Disk Image backup before making any partitioning changes.
