Automatic CHKDSK run on Windows XP boot using OS Selector
I have an issue with Acronis OS Selector from DD 10.0 Build 2.161:
From time to time when I boot one of my Windows partitions I get an automatic run of CHKDSK before Windows starts, after the reboot done by CHKDSK, everything works fine again.
What makes me think it's a problem with OS Selector is the fact, that CHKDSK finds orphaned files on the disk, that are from the CHEKFILE folder in BOOTWIZ folder of the C: drive.
What is this CHEKFILE folder with io.sys and ntldr anyways? I don't get the reason, why OSS manages these files. I hope, someone can clarify it's use for me. I haven't found an answer yet on this forum as well as by searching via Google.
What is the problem with these files that Windows keeps checking the file system from time to time finding these orphaned files?
Thanks for your help!

OSS saves copies of the booting files for certain operating systems. It's supposed to update them if they change. As far as I'm concerned, this feature never worked correctly. However, I don't see why it would be causing the chkdsk problem.
Is anything happening with the Windows system itself that might trigger the automatic check? Unexpected power loss, lock-ups, resets from Windows, hard drive errors, etc.?

Thanks for your reply, MudCrab.
No, nothing like this. The only output of problems in the file system when the automatic CHKDSK runs concerns the said system files maintained by OSS.
Is there a way to turn of the CHEKFILE feature in OSS for certain boot partitions?
