Bad area at beginning of 3gb HDD needs QuickFix

Thread needs solution

183 mb's at start of 3gb HDD will remain 100% unallocated. Dont want the next owner upset if they were to create anything in the 183mb section. Whats a good way to HIDE this area? Since leaving it unallocated, I cant hide it with acronis DD11. Too many partition types to even gamble with a random pick. Anyone want to speak out on this? I'm guessing NT ? But user could still find using Win98se boot disk run fdisk. 3gb HDD FAT16 only for the old 386 cpu & 8mb ram.

Aside from using a partition type that Windows will ignore (Linux Ext3, for example), there's probably not much you can do to hide it. I assume this is a computer with a specialized purpose. If so, I wouldn't worry about a "future" user since it's too old to use for most everything.
