Boot Windows 7 using two configurations.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Ok I am running a debug/Test version of the Windows 7 kernel and I can dual boot into the unmodified kernel or the modified one using the Win7 boot manager. Where the issue comes in is I don't know why DD-11 OS Selector keeps reverting it to just the default unmodified Windows 7. After activating OS Selector I have no options to load the modded kernel any longer and I have to go into Easy BCD and reload it.

I am trying to get DD-11 OS selector to have a button for both the modded and unmodded version of Windows 7 so I can select a default and have access to my other OS's as well.

Any ideas what I am missing here?

I pulled the info from Easy BCD in case anyone wants to see what i am referring to here.

Thanks!!

Terry

Hello Terry,

as far as I understand changes to BCD file cannot be saved because Acronis OS Selector protects this file from writing. Please follow the instruction here to make BCD file editable.

Thank you.
