Bootable ADD is Demo

Thread needs solution

I have both ADD11H_2343 and ATIH2012_6154 installed. When I try to create bootable media containing both products, ADD shows itself to be in demo mode. It doesn't matter whether I use the Bootable Media Builder that comes with ADD or the Bootable Rescue Media Builder which comes with ATI.

I saw in the knowledge base that this was an issue with ADD 10 and was supposedly resolved. Well, the problem's back again, and I hope it can be addressed sooner rather than later.

Thanks.

Yirm,

Does it show as demo or full if you just make a DD11 CD? I realise this isn't what you want to do but if that shows as demo as well, then some more thinking needs to be done.

I take it that your copy of DD11 is the full version, not the trial, and did you ever have the trial of DD11 installed? It is possible that if you did, you have the trial version of media builder installed instead of the full version. Sometimes the files don't overwrite as they should.

Colin,

Thanks for your reply. I have only ever installed full versions of ADD and ATI. I'll create a bootable thumb drive with only ADD and let you know the result.

OK,

One last thing to try before raising a support ticket.

Delete the media builder folder, run a repair install of DD11, select just media builder see what happens.

Oh, boy.

It looks like I *did* have DD installed as Demo. How embarrassing. Thanks for your help and sorry for the trouble.
