Bootable Copy

Thread needs solution

I have been using Acronis Disk Director Version 10.0.0.2288 for some years now, but since I switch to a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500, the boot copy of the software will not recognize my mouse. Thus the software on the boot CD is unusable. The copy on my hard disk recognizes the mouse and is fine.

Will later versions of Disk Director recognize this mouse on the bootable disk?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

FYI Wireless devices generally don't gel with boot software (try altering your BIOS with a wireless keyboard for instance). Generally the bare necessary is a wired keyboard and mouse as these don't need "special" drivers.

Nobody knows if there will be a version 12 ... http://forum.acronis.com/forum/45461

With version 11 you can at least use your keyboard (surprised you can't do that with version 10?). You could also try using 2 mice (one wired).
The long and the short of it is if you are running around with boot CD's you should be running around with a wired keyboard and mouse as well, they are not expensive.

Cheers...
