BOOTWIZ folders everywhere

Hello folks

All of my partitions contain a BOOTWIZ folder (see screenshot).
The root contains a content.oss and the numbered folders all contain a bootmgr folder and another folder CHEKFILE which contains BCD.
That is it apart from what I see is the "functional" BOOTWIZ folder which contains the BOOTWIZ.OSS File etc which I will leave alone.

Apart from the "functional" BOOTWIZ folder can I delete or trip the BOOTWIZ folders? Could you tell me why am I getting all these folders/files, what is disk director doing?
