I tried to install 2288. It says I have to uninstall 2160 first. Why? This seems ludicrous. WinXP.

There were some major changes (for DD) from build 2,160 to the next build. These changes were necessary to allow DD to work with the later versions/builds of TI.

Uninstalling the previous/older versions/builds is usually recommended even when not requested/required by the installer. In many cases, installing over an existing installation can cause problems.

It isn't such a big deal Karl really. The ways DD10 or any such software works is far more complex than any normal applications are.
