Cannot change Dynamic Disk vol back to Basic
I am running DD 11, and am supposed to be able to copy dynamic disk volume (I made the mistake of converting in Win 10) to a USB 1 Gb drive.
It will not run after I say continue the pending action and gives me the following errors
Code: 9,764,877(0x95000D)
Module: C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\DiskDirector\mmsBundle.dll
Message: Failed to perform the requested operation.

I went to the linked website and they say it is a generic error. It also told me to make sure my Acronis Scheduler2 is running and it is - set to auto and running
ANY IDEAS HOW TO BE ABLE TO COPY THIS PARTITION BEFORE ONE OF THESE CONVERSION PROGRAMS WIPES THE DRIVE CLEAN?????

Hello Duane,
Windows 10 is supported starting from Acronis Disk Director 12 (current version). 11th version did not support it.
If you still need help with this issue, the safest routine for you would be this:
1) if the USB drive is compliant with USB 3 or newer standard, connect it to a USB 3 port on your computer. That would considerably increase copying speed comparing to USB 2.0 connection
2) install a free trial version of Acronis True Image 2017. Trial would suffice, you will not have to pay for a full version.
3) open Windows Start menu - Acronis - Add new disk. Initialize your USB disk as GPT or MBR and create an NTFS partition on it. Choose the maximum cluster size (e.g. 64KB) for a better performance when handling large files, such as disk images.
4) save a complete disk image of your dynamic disk into a .tib file on the USB disk. After you install the trial version, you can address all the questions that you might have about it in our Live Chat service (starting point here).
5) once you have a disk image, you can make any change to the original disk, e.g. trying to convert it from dynamic back to basic etc.
6) if you feel that you need to reverse the changes, simply run disk restoration from the image that is stored on the USB disk. It will bring your original disk to the state as it was when the image was taken. USB 3.0 or newer connection would make a difference in speeding up the process.
Regards,
Slava
