can't install my disk director suite 10

Thread needs solution

I can't install Disk Director Suite 10.0.2288_s00000000000000_en.exe

I can install my old version 10.0

A factor that might be involved is that I installed xp 64 ; hence the reinstall
with the latest from my acronis account.

the failure comes before any request for serial number.
I do see the "run" dialog box
i do see the blue screen asking if i want to install or read the users guide
but after that it failed.

I FOUND A SOLUTION. I INSTALLED THE OLD 10.0 VERSION AND THEN INSTALLED THE NEWER ONE OVER IT. INSTALLED BEAUTIFULLY.

NOT SURE WHY THE NEWER VERSION WILL NOT INSTALL by itself

Yes....in reverse....
I had the old one installed!!!
When I attempted to add the update, it apprised me I had to remove the old version!!!
After doing so, the new version tells me:
"The product cannot be installed on the platform: the current operating system is not supported"
SO...the original installed quite happily on W7 (64 bit), but the 5-years later 'update' is not supported!(?)!(?)!
The only reason I tried to 'update' in the first place was due to the following:
Halved (without ANY grief) the laptop 500GB disk by creating a new partition (E) of 250GB, by taking it from 'C'.
Excellent!
Then realized I actually needed a small, third partition and tried to take this from the newly created 'E' (thus reducing the 250GB showing as 'free' down to 230GB).
When I tried to create the third partition, I was told that 'there is insufficient free space on the selected drive' (E) and that is BEFORE I get to the 'select size of new partition' stage!!!!

DD 10 isn't supported on Windows 7. However, the older builds aren't blocked from installing (the newer ones are). It's not recommended to run version 10 on Windows 7 because it will very likely have problems or cause problems, especially if TI is also installed.

As for the new partition, how many are already on the drive? Can you post a screenshot?
