Can't resize System Partition

I am using DD10 yet. I have an Laptop with an XP-installation an tried to enlarge the System Partition. This failed. The Partition is marked with a red C, and I can neither encrease nor decrease the size. I didn't found an explanation for this red C. I assumed, that this partition was corrupt or had any mistake. I tried to repair with CHKDSK, same result. What canI do? Should I format the partition and restore an Image stored by TI? Can anybody give me some help?

The red "C" means DD is detecting something wrong (usually errors or corruption) on the partition. Did chkdsk /f perform any repairs? Are there any bad sectors on the partition?

Are you trying to do the resize using DD in Windows or DD from the CD?

Hi Mudcrab,

I tried to resize after booting from the CD. I was not able to change the size, and I didn't know, what this "C" means. I assumed, that this means a corrupt disk, and so I tried to check and repair this partition with DD (seems to be an intern call of chkdsk). This runs, but the result was the same as before.
I started Windows und with CMD chkdsk /f. This runs after the next reboot of Windows. And now I could change the size of the partition with DD.
