Can't restore lost partition

Hello,

My HDD consists of 3 partitions: 1 primary partition with a Dutch version of Windows XP, 1 logical with nothing but data and one logical with Windows 7 on it. For a school project I'm required to have an English version of XP (due to the speechlibraries) so I thought I'd just remove my old XP as I don't use it anyway. I couldn't remove it because it was a primary partition, after some Googling I came across information that stated I should make another primary, then convert XP to a logical and I would be able to remove it. I decided to use your software to convert my W7 partition to my primary. I choose to switch it to primary and rebooted my pc. Turns out I can no longer load my W7 because it can't be found. I succeeded in booting up my XP, apparently my entire windows 7 partition is gone. Luckily you also have a recovery tool and the long search found it in mere seconds! I click on restore and according to the software it's succesfully restored, it prompts to reboot pc and I follow. Still the same error.. I tried again, still the same error and it's nowhere to be found.

This is just the short version, as I've tried several programs but I liked yours best.

I'd appreciate if you could help me restore the data, it's very important and I've been stupid enough to not back it up.

It might be wise to add that when I restore it the info says the W7 partition is flagged as "primary"

Your system configuration isn't one well suited to making the types of changes you made. Also, changing partitions from Logical to Primary can easily "break" things (as can Primary to Logical).

Can you post a screenshot of what XP's Disk Management shows for the drive? A screenshot of what DD shows might also be helpful.

Do you have a Windows 7 installation DVD or System Repair Disc?

What is the exact error message you get when you try to boot into Windows 7.

Do you still have access to your Logical data partition?
