Changing partitions created with an older version of DD (9)

Thread needs solution

My 2 disks have been partitioned in XP with the DD 9 version, since I could not get to work properly the newly purchased DD 11 software.
At present, I am planning to move to a new computer system, also XP but a different hardware built.
The current PC has 2 HDD installed, each partitioned.
I want to keep the old system running on only one of those HDD (each 500 GB).
Therefore, I am thinking about repartitioning one drive to include partition letters from the other HDD,

So the system would (hopefully) keep running as before - with the same partitions as before but on a single drive.

I thought to try again the new software that I abandoned - maybe it will work better on my system now, after some updated from Acronis that might have happened during the last year.

But in this case I am not sure - will the ADD 11 handle the drive that was partitioned with ADD 9?
Or should I stick to ADD 9?
Your advice is appreciated.

hi chuckz,
i am also not very into the computering in general and so all i could tell you is, that i would think, that there is no problem to use dd11 for doing this job.

sorry, but i cant tell you more certainly.

good luck

DD 11 shouldn't have problems making changes to a drive previously partitioned with DD 9. Try the latest update and see if it works better on your system. Also, make sure to back up the drives before making the changes (in case anything goes wrong).
