Compatibility: DD11 + True Home Image 2010?

Thread needs solution

I have an existing installation of ATIH 2010, Build 7046 on Windows 7x64 that works well enough. Can Disk Director 11, Build 2121 (I presume) be installed without breaking ATIH?

This would be a 'clean' install of Disk Director; version 10 was not installed in Windows 7.

My interest is not disk management from within Windows or OSS, but simply the ability to build a Boot CD with both Acronis apps.

Many thanks!

As far as I know, it should be okay with build 7,046 or later. If you want, you could create a backup image before installing DD (recommended) and then restore it afterwards if you want to remove DD. This way, it wouldn't risk your TI installation.

Another option is to install them both in a VM and create the CD there.

Thanks, MudCrab.

Your point about imaging prior to new installation is well taken. I'm making it a principle for all software that includes drivers of any kind and for updates/upgrades that affect applications with significant customizations/preferences, etc., especially generically troublesome security applications: anti-virus and firewalls.
