Copy Partition???

I have my Windows 7 partition and I have created a new partition and want to copy the Windows 7 partition to this new partition so I have two Windows 7 partitions to select from. Is it possible to do this? I want to be able to install certain software on one partition and not the other and vice versa and then select which one I boot to depending on which software I need.

I saw a copy partition but it stated something that you cannot have two boot partitions or some thing like that.

Also, can I restore True Image backups to this new partition?
