Copy volume to SSD with 512 byte sector BUT 4096 page size

I used DISKPART to create correctly aligned partition

Then I used Disk Director 11 to copy a volume to the partition

But Disk Director only copies to EMPTY space ... so I removed the correctly aligned partition
and used Disk Director to create the target partition

But it aligned it incorrectly: at 31.5 instead of 32

Of course I only discovered this AFTER copying 100 GB of data ...

I am using Win 7 x64

Can Disk Director 11 perform this task correctly? If so what are the steps?

(A 7 year old copy of Norton Ghost can perform this task correctly - but it only runs on Win XP)

DD 11 should be able to correctly align the partition when it's copied. Are you doing the copy from in Windows? If so, try booting to the DD CD and see if you get different results.

Is the source partition not aligned to the Windows 7 standard?

Are you checking the final alignment using DD or DISKPART?
