DD 10 build 2288 bootable media mouse problems
I just installed Disk Director build 2288. I upgraded to that build because the bootable media said that no hard disks were found on my Dell Inspiron 530 (SATA disks). When I downloaded the iso file and burned it to disk and booted from the disk, I could now see my two SATA disks, but the Logitech mouse would not move properly. No matter how I moved the mouse, the cursor would only move up and down, not sideways. I had to use the Alt and Tab keys to exit the program.
Obviously the program is VERY difficult to use with no mouse. Does anyone know of this problem and if it is being worked on?

It is a USB wireless mouse and keyboard, so I need USB support

You should still try the option. Using it makes DD use an alternate method for the mouse. It may allow it to work.

I forgot to mention that the disks I want are external USB drives.

If you're using the downloaded ISO CD, you can enter the command options on the boot: line. For example:
This will include the usbmouse=off option. It shouldn't affect the detection of your USB drives.

I will give it a try and let you know if it works ok.

Thanks, that worked fine. Only drawback is that I have to keep a printout of the boot: line because I could never remember it.

I'm glad it worked for you.
If you have an ISO editor (I use UltraISO), you can open the ISO and edit the menu file to include the option. That's what I would do. Otherwise, you could contact Acronis Support and request a custom ISO that includes the option (since you know it works).
