DD10 No Longer Works After Installing TI2010 & Add-on

Thread needs solution

I installed the latest DD10 on a Windows XP/SP2 PC and it worked fine. However, after I installed the latest ATIH2010 and its add-on for BartPE, DD10 no longer works.

I found snapman.dll and snapman.sys had been updated by ATIH2010, could this cause DD10 not to work? Any easy solutions?

Thanks,

Tom

Specifically, what part of DD doesn't work?

After installing TI 2010, did you get a "reboot" prompt after you ran it?

What build of DD are you using?

What build of TI are you using?

I got the following error while trying to start DD10:

E000101F4: Application module error

Cannot find the necessary Acronis Disk Director Suite modules. Please reinstall Acronis Disk Director Suite.

Yes, I did reboot after installing TI2010.
The version of DD10 I used is #2239.
The version of TI2010 I used is #6053.
The name of the executable of TI add on is TrueImage2010Addons_s_en.exe.

I did a quick test with those builds on XP Pro SP3 and they both startup fine.

What versions of snapman.sys and snapapi.dll do you have installed?

DD (2,239) used version 3.6.0.446 for both.

After installing TI 2010 (6,053), they're both 3.8.0.486.

Is that what you show?

You may need to run the Acronis Clean Up Utility and then reinstall DD and TI.

Mudcrab,

Do you still need to install them in a certain order with TI 2010:6053?

Mudcrab,

I have the same versions of snapman.dll and snapapi.dll as you indicated.
I'll try the Acronis Clean Up Utility and re-install both and hopefully fix the issue.

Thanks for your help.

Colin,

In my test, I installed DD (2,239) first and rebooted. Next, I installed TI 2010 (6,053) and rebooted. When I tried to start TI, it said some files needed updated (I don't remember the exact message) and that it needed to reboot to fix it. After that, TI started normally. DD started normally also.

According to Acronis Support, the installation order shouldn't matter. See this thread.
