DD10 Resize Partition Error - not enough memory (0x70002)
Running DD10 on my XP SP3 machine with 4MB of RAM.
Trying to resize partition 1 (increase size) on a 200GB IDE data HD with 3 partitions
Using wizard in Windows
Said to use free space on partition 3
Runs through pending operations, then aborts on error 0x70002, not enough memory
Never seen this before, always runs fine
Disk has been recently formatted and partitons created with DD10
What's my problem? How do I fix it?
Thanks.
Ron

Yana,
Thanks for your suggestion.
Actually, I had already downloaded and burned the ISO boot disk, booted up with it, attempted the resize operation and watched progress after my commit for an hour. Bt the projected time was still 5 hours and I couldn't have my computer held captive for that amount of time.
So, it looks like the process was proceeding properly from the boot disk. What does that tell you about the error I was getting in Windows?
Does that amount of time seem reasonable? It seems like I've done that job on other disks in less time, but this one is on my IDE channel and the others on my SATA channel.

Hello Ron,
The amount of time needed for the operation seems correct, since IDE interface is slower than SATA one, and Disk Director needs to move some amount of data to resize the partitions.
As for the issue itself: as Yana mentioned, there are several reasons of that error. Could you please check the disks for errors?
- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r"
where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.
Please reply to this thread if you need any further assistance.
Thank you.

Had the same "not enough memory " problem with DD10, XP SP3 machine with 4MB of RAM.
The disk to be partitioned was checked for errors and proved to be fine.
So my solution was to restart Windows in safe mode (press F8 while Windows starts up) and run DD10. And it works! So I hope this simple workaround could be useful to somebody.
