There isn't any way for a user to add drivers to the Linux-based recovery CD. If the version of Linux used by Acronis doesn't support your hardware, then there isn't much that you can do other than to contact Acronis Support and ask if they can add custom drivers. Linux driver development often lags behind Windows.

to my understanding there are 2 LINUX versions
the one that comes on the retail cd is the OLD KERNEL VERSION
the one that can be downloaded through acronis website is supposed to be NEWER KERNEL VERSION

that is how it is for TRUE IMAGE HOME?
am i correct?

where is it for DISK DIRECTOR???

That isn't true any longer. Acronis used to make available an ISOLINUX-based download on their web site but they stopped doing that several months ago. Now, the download on their web site is the same version that you make yourself using the Bootable Media Builder application within the DD 11 program.
