DD11 demo -> "failed to obtain actual information about the disc subsystem"

Thread needs solution

Right, i've got a new 1tb drive that i've chopped up into 4 partitions, OS, Music, Games and Video.

Not reinstalled yet so the OS partition is actually empty.

Everything running fine until this afternoon when my pc just shutoff without warning. After rebooting the music games and video partition aren't listed in the "computer" list anymore.

Go into disk manager and they are still there, but windows can't make any changes to them.

Panic, hit google and end up grabbing the demo of DD11 (running W7 64bit) and when i run it i get "failed to obtain actual information about the disc subsystem" at the bottom of the window and no disc information displayed.

I know that i can't fix my machine with the demo version, i just need to know if it CAN fix my machine before i part with my money!

Any ideas?

Just to update this, if i select the Recovery Expert option, THAT can see the partitions but as it thinks they're working it won't let me select them for a recovery scan!
