DD11 not working when a reboot is required

Thread needs solution

This is with Windows XP Home, with ANY job that requires a reboot.

Windows restarts as normal; pale blue screen comes up as normal, with "Disk Director 11 Home, Version 11.0.2121" as normal, then disk activity but nothing on the screen for several minutes, until...

Error ocurred:
Text: The command uses a missing object.
Code: 0000000000360197 58A1AE92511B0306

The program works ok on my other computers, and I'm well experienced with DD generally (albeit more with version 10). What could be the problem? Thanks.

I have the exact same issue on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. DD version 11.0.2343.

What I'm seeing is:

Acronis Disk Director 11 Home Update 2

Version 11.0.2343

Error occurred:
Text: The command uses a missing object.
Code: 0000000000360198 441E730962703F63
Suberror:
Text: The command contains an incorrect ID.
Code: 0000000000360197 58A1A392511B0306

Press to reboot.

I'm at a friend's home trying to show him the product (at his request). He wants to resize his drives and asked what I use. I brought my laptop and went to show it to him. I didn't know about the issue and support won't help -- at all, unless I pay $10. Why should I pay $9.99 ($10) to help sell their product? My friend won't buy a pig in a poke and won't pay for the PPI unless they return the money, after he buys.

Anyway, he's telling me now that he's not interested in Acronis because it doesn't work and they don't want to fix their own issue ... I can't blame him.

In general, it's safer to do "reboot" procedures using the DD CD instead of from Windows. Also, make sure you have a backup image of the drive before you make the changes (in case anything goes wrong).

Are you getting the same error from the CD version?
