DD12 3270 Media Builder - use WIM I provide
Anyone had success using media builder to add DD12 3270 to an existing WIM? I get this trying to add it to a custom WinPE 10 WIM. My custom WIM already has TIH2016 and some utils loaded on it.
Hack successful, TIH 2016 + DD 12 on same WinPE media. Understandable why for simplicity of supporting both products they might not want to allow this anymore. Maybe two different teams develop the products and communication/collaberation is not feasible. Maybe also there are some common components and it's just too much to make sure they remain compatible with the companion product as releases creep out over time. Eaiser not to explicitly block it but allow some of us what we want while understanding it's not officially supported and YMMV.
At the current releases, I just had DD's media builder create a WIM. Then I figured out where TIH media builder was looking for WinPE when I wanted it to create a WIM. I renamed the WIM there to xWIM and moved the one created by DD to that location. Then TIH media builder added TIH to that WIM which contained DD 12. Then I edited startnet.cmd and put the commands that start each product into their own bat files.
